Cosmetic Options to Restore Your Smile

Are you tired of discolored teeth? If you’re ready for a change, choose cosmetic dentistry.

Cosmetic dentistry provides multiple treatment options that can whiten and brighten your smile for improved form and function. These options can not only whiten teeth but reshape and fix crooked teeth for a straighter smile.

Treatment Options

Dr. David J. Weinstock will first assess your oral health and factors like tooth color, shape and size before treatment. Your oral health, smile goals, and budget are all taken into account before making a decision. Some of the cosmetic dental solutions that Dr. Weinstock offers are as follows:

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is a solution that can provide effective treatment and results for patients of all ages. Dr. Weinstock offers in-office and take-home solutions for optimal convenience. Zoom teeth whitening is an in-office solution which utilizes a hydrogen peroxide-based gel. When exposed to a special light, the gel breaks down and whitens teeth. This process takes just 45 minutes. For patients who want professional teeth whitening at home, “trays” or “mouthguards” are a great option. These clear, custom-made trays conform to teeth and whiten them after several hours of wear each day.

Porcelain Veneers

Created from high-quality porcelain material, dental veneers provide a durable and long-lasting option for patients who want to restore the appearance of their teeth. To begin the process, dental impressions are made of teeth for the creation of the custom porcelain veneers. During creation, the veneers are matched to your natural tooth color. For placement, a bit of the tooth’s surface is sculpted to make room for the veneers, which are bonded to the teeth. Porcelain dental veneers can be placed in two to three office visits.

Tooth Bonding

Unlike veneers, tooth bonding is not permanent and is a great alternative for patients. In this treatment, a tooth-colored resin is applied to a tooth with adhesive and sculpted. Tooth bonding can be used to improve the appearance of chipped, cracked, crooked or discolored teeth. This solution can last patients from 3 to 5 years.
